Uinta Lanes is a laid back, 12-lane bowling alley that sits on the southeast edge of the town of Evanston, Wyoming, not too far off of I-80. In addition to bowling, you can find delicious pizzas, wings, and other snacks as well as a full service bar at Edge of Town Pizza Pub, fun arcade games, and even some dart boards. Weekdays and Saturdays host a special of some sort, like Thrifty Thursdays – where bowling is a buck and the shoe rentals are free! Review
We needed a pitstop on our way from Oregon to Colorado, and once again, Harvest Hosts did not disappoint. What better way to spend an evening on a long road trip than bowling (we actually stopped on a Thursday night which was their dollar per game night!), drinking some local whiskey cocktails, and eating pizza and wings?! If you aren’t so much into bowling, they also have some arcade games and dart boards. Uinta Lanes isn’t too far off of I-80 on the edge of the town of Evanston so it was quick and easy to get there.
We really only had one snafu, that being that the kids who were working were apparently unaware that a Harvest Host guest was coming in that night so a section of the parking lot wasn’t set aside for our rig. In their defense though, it was still pretty much winter in the area with snow piled in spots in the lot – one of which was the usual Harvest Host area. Thankfully, the owner/manager was able to help us figure out a site next to the building that worked for us.
Trailerability
Uinta Lanes has a fairly small parking lot so its a bit tight if you pull in while they are busy. The lot is made even smaller if you are there while there are mounds of snow on the ground.
Towmads Top Tips
- Try to get here by late afternoon because the parking lot fills up in the evening making it difficult to navigate.
- Show up on a Thursday to bowl on the cheap with their Thrifty Thursdays deal.
