Enjoyed our own private view of Puget Sound.
Location
Marrowstone Island, Marrowstone, WA 98358, USA
About
Another great find on Hipcamp. This place is a private RV space on the Eastern shore of Marrowstone Island. Avoid the noise and crowds of the public campgrounds and enjoy your own private view over Admiralty Inlet, Whidbey Island and the North Cascades. They also provide 20/30/50 amp power, water and sewer hookup, high speed WiFi internet, a large level parking area and picnic table.

Review
This place was AMAZING! Felt like we were a million miles away from everything enjoying beautiful views and the sounds of the sea, yet still close to to things such as crabbing at Fort Flagler, groceries and restaurants in Port Hadlock as well as Port Townsend only about a 1/2 hour away.
This is also a great spot for working remotely. The wifi was fast and reliable.
Pete was a fantastic host. He was very welcoming, super communicative and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend coming here if you can!
Trailerability
I appreciated that there was plenty of room making it easy to get in and out with our trailer on the property. Just don’t trust GPS for getting there which will try to take you down Meade Rd which is a super tight squeeze if you come across anyone else.
Towmads Top Tips
- Fort Flagler State Park has a nice dock to go crabbing from.
- Couple fun dive bars close by in Port Hadlock.

- Spirits Bar and Grill at The Old Alcohol Plant – Loved sitting outside enjoying fancy cocktails and appetizers while soaking in the view of the bay
- Manresa Castle – Took a little drive to Port Townsend to explore this haunted castle
- Valley Tavern – Bacon Bingo!!! Need I say more
- Fort Flagler State Park – There is a nice dock where we went crabbing
- Crazy Otter – Played old school video games at this little dive bar in Port Hadlock

How to Book
? Unfortunately it appears this camping spot on Marrowstone Island is no longer bookable. The listing has been taken down from Hipcamp and their website is no longer reachable. Also found a note on Google from them saying “Permanently closed. We miss our happy campers. :-(“.
If you’re looking for an alternative place to camp on Marrowstone Island I recommend checking out Fort Flagler Historical State Park on the northern tip of Marrowstone Island.
