About

Riverside RV Resort is a private RV resort in South Weber, Utah, near Ogden and north of Salt Lake City. The park offers full-hookup RV sites and resort-style amenities in a convenient northern Utah location.

Amenities include a pool, hot tub, cold plunge, pickleball court, laundry facilities, spacious showers, and gathering spaces. It was late April, so the pool hadn’t opened yet, but the overall amenity area still stood out as one of the stronger features of the park.

The resort also hosted a variety of small community events and gatherings, giving it more of an active RV resort feel than a simple overnight campground.

The location is close to the freeway and near Hill Air Force Base, so road noise and occasional jet noise are part of the setting.

An interesting note is that it is also a Harvest Hosts location. You can stay one night and get hookups for a small fee as a Harvest Hosts stay, with extra nights at the regular price.

Visits

  • April 23–25, 2026 – We stayed two nights at Riverside RV Resort as part of our Destination Michigan trip, during the Northwest to the Southwest leg. This was the stop where we got our hot water heater fixed, added an extra night for foot recovery, and lost one Moab day in the process. Read the full story: The RV Got Fixed. The Driver? That’s Another Story.

Review

We would stay at Riverside RV Resort again (especially as a Harvest Hosts stay) when looking for a clean, convenient, full-hookup stop in the Ogden area. The staff was helpful, the park was well maintained, and the amenities were better than what we usually expect.

The pool area was really nice, though the pool itself wasn’t open yet while we were there. The hot tub, cold plunge, and new pickleball court all added to the resort feel, and the laundry and shower rooms were immaculate.

The main tradeoff is the same one we run into at a lot of private RV parks: you do not get a ton of personal space or privacy at your site. The sites felt fairly close together, which kept this from rating higher for us.

Noise is also worth knowing about. The park is close to the freeway, and there can be occasional jet noise from the nearby Air Force base. That did not bother us, but we know some campers would feel differently.

We originally booked this through Harvest Hosts, where it was expected to be a low-cost full-hookups option while passing through. Circumstances forced our hand into an extra night, which was almost $100, quickly turning this stay into a relatively expensive stop (especially if we needed to stay longer).

Trailerability

This was an easy place to get to and around in. For our setup, 49′ truck & trailer combo, the pull-through site was long enough so we didn’t have to disconnect for a quick, one-night stay like we’d originally planned.

Towmads Top Tips

  • This is an exceptional value as a Harvest Hosts location.
  • Do yourself a favor and leave enough time to enjoy the amenities. The hot tub was fantastic after a long drive!
  • It’s located close to stores and a General RV Center if you need supplies.

Nearby Finds

Thank goodness we found RVeRE – Certified Mobile RV Repair to fix our hot water heater which decided to give up the ghost at Billingsley Creek Campground. He had great communication, quickly identified problem, and even had the part on hand so we could have hot water again!
